Conjugated Peptide
Anti-NOSTRIN antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a 17 amino acid peptide near the C-terminus of human NOSTRIN.
Anti-NOSTRIN antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. NOSTRIN antibody is human, mouse and rat reactive. At least four isoforms are known to exist; this antibody will detect all four isoforms.

Anti-NOSTRIN Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and Western Blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at approximately 58 kDa in Western Blots of specific cell lysates and tissues.

Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
NOSTRIN. also known as endothelial nitric oxide synthase traffic inducer, is a member of the Pombe Cdc15 homology (PCH) family of proteins which may function as the modulator of the subcellular localization and activity of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) (1,2). It decreases NOS3 activity by inducing its translocation away from the plasma membrane (3). NOSTRIN typically exists as a trimer and is expressed in the vascular endothelial cells of highly vascularized tissues such as placenta, lung, kidney and heart. NOSTRIN is necessary for proper vascular development in zebrafish and postnatal retinal angiogenesis in mice (4,5).
