Background

Specifically, Cav1.2 is a cardiac L-type calcium channel, and is important for excitation and contraction of the heart. It may be associated with a variant of Long QT syndrome called Timothy's syndrome and also with Brugada syndrome. Some references also suggest it is related to bipolar disease as well.

Recombinant Protein
Cav1.2 Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations with a fusion protein (intracellular carboxyl terminus) of rabbit Cav1.2.
Anti-CAV1.2 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with CAV1.2 from Human, Rat, and Mouse based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with CAV1.2 from other sources has not been determined. Channels and Transporters research.

Microarray  - View References
Anti-CAV1.2 Antibody has been tested in WB, IP, ICC/IF, and IHC and is suitable for use in microarray. Expect a band approximately ~240kDa (varies with cell background due to glycosylation) on specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
