Background

Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain (DD), death effector domain (DED), and caspase recruitment domain (CARD) containing molecules. CARD containing proteins include some caspases, Apaf-1, CARD4, IAPs, RICK, ARC, RAIDD, Bcl-10, and ASC. A novel CARD-containing protein was recently identified and designated CARD10. This protein belongs to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase-like (MAGUK) family of proteins that can function as molecular scaffolds that assist assembly of signal transduction molecules. CARD 10 interacts with Bcl-10, a Bcl protein that promotes apoptosis, caspase-9 maturation and activation of NF-kB. CARD 10 and the related protein CARMA1 also associate with NEMO, the regulatory subunit of the IkK complex, demonstrating its importance in the regulation of NF-kB transcription factor activation.

Anti-CARD10 antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to 14 amino acids at the C-terminus of human CARD10.
Anti-CARD10 Antibody is immunoaffinity purified. Cross reactivity with CARD10 from other sources has not been determined.

Anti-CARD10 Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at approximately 116 kDa in Western Blots of specific cell lysates and tissues.

Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
