Description

Background

Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 3 (MCP-3), also called CCL7, is chemokine produced by macrophages and some tumor cell lines. MCP-3 signals through three different G protein-coupled receptors, CCR1, CCR2, and CCR3. CCL7 chemoattracts monocytes and can regulate macrophage function. Recombinant rat MCP-3 is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 75 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 8.6 kDa.

Application Note

Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-3 Recombinant Protein is suitable as a control for polyclonal or monoclonal anti-Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-3 in immunological assays.

Purity/Specificity

Monocyte Chemotactic protein-3 (CCL7) purity was determined to be greater than 97% as determined by HpLC, analysis by UV-Spectroscopy at 280nm, and by reducing and non-reducing SDS-pAGE.
