Application Details

PFKFB1 Protein is stored in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 50mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF, 25% glycerol. PFKFB1 Protein is suitable for use in Western Blot. Expect a band approximately ~80kDa on specific lysates or tissues. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.

Formulation

See application note.

Shipping & Handling

Dry Ice
Store product at –70°C. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
PFKFB1 is a member of the family of bifunctional 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase: fructose-2, 6-biphosphatase enzymes which forms a homodimer that catalyzes both the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2,6-biphosphate using independent catalytic domains (1). Fructose-2,6-biphosphate is an activator of the glycolysis pathway and an inhibitor of the gluconeogenesis pathway. Regulation of fructose-2,6-biphosphate levels through the activity of this enzyme is thought to regulate glucose homeostasis (2). PFKFB1 Protein is ideal for investigators involved in Signaling Proteins, Fructose Kinase Proteins, Cancer, Cell Cycle, and Metabolic Disorder research.
