Description

Background

Human IgM Fab mu Rhodamine is ideal for investigators involved in serum protein component research. IgM is by far the physically largest antibody in the human circulatory system. It is the first antibody to appear in response to initial exposure to antigen. The spleen is the major site of specific IgM production. Distinct heavy chains differ in size and composition; alpha and gamma contain approximately 450 amino acids, while μ and ε have approximately 550 amino acids.

Application Note

Human IgM Fab µ fragment Rhodamine conjugation is designed for immunofluorescence microscopy, fluorescence based plate assays (FLISA) and fluorescent western blotting. This product is also suitable for multiplex analysis, including multicolor imaging, utilizing various commercial platforms.

Purity/Specificity

This product was prepared from normal serum by delipidation, salt fractionation, ion exchange chromatography followed by papain digestion and extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.  Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Human IgM and anti-Human Serum.  No reaction was observed against anti-Human IgG F(c) or anti-Papain.
