Background

Anti-Serotonin Receptor 7 antibody detects rat, human and dog Serotonin Receptor 7. Receptors for serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT) are classified into seven major classes (5-HTR1-7), based on structural, functional and pharmacological criteria. The 5-HT7 receptor (5-HT7R) is a seven-transmembrane-domain G-protein-coupled receptor that has important roles in regulating diverse biological process in the central and peripheral nervous systems. Receptors for serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT) are classified into seven major classes (5-HT1-7), based on structural, functional and pharmacological criteria. Sequence alignment shows a high degree of interspecies 5-HT7R homology (>90%), and a low homology with other 5-HTRs. Anti-Serotonin Receptor 7 is ideal for researchers interested in Neurobiology research.

Conjugated Peptide
Serotonin Receptor 7 Antibody was produced from whole rabbit serum prepared by repeated immunizations with amino acids near the n-terminus of rat protein 5-HT7R.
Anti-Serotonin Receptor 7 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Anti-Serotonin Receptor 7 from human, mouse, dog and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with Anti-Serotonin Receptor 7 from other sources has not been determined.

Application Details

FC, IF, WB
Anti-Serotonin Receptor 7 Antibody is tested for use in FLOW, IF/ICC, and WB. Expect a band approximately 45-50kDa on specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
