Background

Anti Nur7 antibody detects human Nur77. Nur77 (Nak-1,TR3) is a member of the NR4A orphan nuclear receptor (NR) superfamily of transcription factors. The Nur77 ligand has not yet been identified. It is thought that the lack of ability to identify a ligand may be due to the lack of a typical NR binding pocket in the ligand binding domain. Nur77, like other NR4A receptors, are immediate-early genes induced by diverse stimuli in multiple tissues. There is increasing evidence that Nur77 and other NR4A receptors play important roles in maintaining tissue homeostasis. For example, specific Nur77 functions have been defined in the brain, T-cells/thymocytes, adipose tissue, steroidgenesis, muscle, blood vessels, macrophages and cardiovascular system. There is also evidence that Nur77 plays roles in pathological processes such as cancer. Nur77 is a phosphoprotein and its size ranges from ~65 kDa to 90 kDa depending on the isoform expressed and level of phosphorylation or other post-translational modifications. Anti-Nur77 antibody is ideal for investigators involved in apoptosis.

Conjugated Peptide
Nur77 Antibody was produced from whole rabbit serum prepared by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to internal amino acids with human Nur77 protein.
Anti-Nur77 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Anti-Nur77 from human and mouse based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with Anti-Nur77 from other sources has not been determined.

Application Details

ChIP, IF, IHC, IP, WB
Anti Nur77 antibody is tested for use in WB, ChIP, ICC/IF, IHC, IHC-P, and IP. Expect a band approximately 71kDa on specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
