Background

Specifically, Kv7.1 (KvLQT1) is a potassium channel protein coded for by the gene KCNQ1. Kv7.1 is present in the cell membranes of cardiac muscle tissue and in inner ear neurons among other tissues. In the cardiac cells, Kv7.1 mediates the IKs (or slow delayed rectifying K+) current that contributes to the repolarization of the cell, terminating the cardiac action potential and thereby the heart's contraction.

Recombinant Protein
KCNQ1 Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations raised against a fusion protein n-terminal region of human KCNQ1.
Anti-KCNQ1 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with KCNQ1 from Human, Rat, and Mouse based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with KCNQ1 from other sources has not been determined. Channels and Transporters research.

Application Details

IF, IHC, IP, WB
Anti-KCNQ1 Antibody is tested for use in WB, IP, IF, and IHC. Expect a band approximately ~75kDa on specific lysates. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
