Anti-DOCK8 antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a 17 amino acid peptide near the C-terminus of human DOCK8.
Anti-DOCK8 antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. DOCK8 antibody is human, mouse and rat reactive. Multiple isoforms of DOCK8 are known to exist.

Anti-DOCK8 Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, Western Blotting, and Immunohistochemistry. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at approximately 239 kDa in Western Blots of specific cell lysates and tissues.

Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

The Dedicator of cytokinesis protein 8 (DOCK8) is a member of the DOCK180 family of guanine nucleotide exchange factors (1). DOCK8 plays an essential role in humoral immune responses and is important in the proper formation of the B cell immunological synapse (reviewed in 2). Mutations in this gene result in the autosomal recessive form of the hyper-IgE syndrome (3).
