Description

Background

Alkaline Phosphatase is an enzyme that is key in the hydrolysis of many different types of molecules, resulting in the removal of phosphate groups from said molecule. Most active in basic environments and a common serum analyte, alkaline phosphatase and its isoenzymes are good indicators of bone, liver, and testicular diseases/cancers in immunoassays and diagnostics.

Purity/Specificity

This product was prepared from chromatographically pure alkaline phosphatase (calf intestinal mucosa).
